What better way to have a housewarming party than with an edible pair of ruby red slippers?!
Each shoe served about 15 people, which was large for the party, but that meant they were able to travel to 2 parties! I made the platforms for the shoes of foam board and red duct tape. This cake was so much fun to carve and slowly come alive as each step was completed. The "sparkle" was created using sugar that was dyed red. And of course, I had to use a yellow board. How else would Dorothy find her way home?
